Diamond Art: Decorative Cutting Boards

Discover the relaxing and surprisingly addictive world of Diamond Art — a creative technique where tiny colorful crystals are placed one by one onto a numbered design to create a sparkling mosaic.

At this hands-on workshop, we’re taking Diamond Art beyond the traditional picture frame. Each participant will create a decorative cutting board to take home.

One side of your board will feature a beautiful Diamond Art design made with tiny colorful crystals. Each color corresponds to a number on the pattern, so you simply follow the design and watch your picture come to life, crystal by crystal.

But your board has two sides — and we’re going to use both!

On the reverse side, you’ll have an opportunity to add your own artistic touch using acrylic paints. Paint something colorful, abstract, floral, whimsical — whatever feels right to you. When your board is displayed at home, you can occasionally turn it around and enjoy a completely different piece of art.

No previous Diamond Art or painting experience is necessary. All materials will be provided, and everyone will leave with their own unique decorative board.

A small recommendation: please bring your reading glasses if you use them. Those little crystals really are little!

And because crafting is always better with something warm and delicious nearby, tea, coffee, and treats will be served.

I, on behalf of my family, voluntarily sign this waiver and assumption of risk in favor of the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc in consideration for the opportunity to use the owner’s facilities, the facilities rented by or given to Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, or event set up for the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, that will take place Wednesday, September 9.

I understand that there are certain risks and dangers associated with the activities and use of the facilities and that these risks have been fully explained to me. I fully understand the danger involved. I fully assume the risks involved as acceptable to our family members and other paticipants I personally register, and agree to use my best judgment in undertaking these activities and follow all safety instructions.

I waive and release Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc. from any claim for personal injury, property damage, or death that may arise from use of the facilities or from participation in the activities of Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc.
