Are you a high school or college student interested in STEM, agriculture, natural sciences, research, or hands-on academic opportunities? Or are you a parent who would like to learn more about these programs and ask questions directly?

Jookender invites students and their families to a special in-person ASTEMA & REEU Recruitment Event and Q&A with Dr. Victoria Volkis, Principal Investigator (PI) and lead professor for the ASTEMA and REEU programs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES).

During this informal in-person meeting, Dr. Volkis will introduce both programs, explain what students can expect from the academic-year and summer components, discuss research and educational opportunities at UMES, and answer questions from prospective students and parents.

REEU opportunities for college students

STEM, agriculture, natural sciences, and research experiences

Academic-year and summer program components

The application and recruitment process

What students can gain academically and professionally from participating

Life and research experiences at UMES
