The Land of Witches and Pirates

Welcome to our first ever Jookender Family Journey by bus! We hope you’ll like it! Still there will be some independence, but at least you know you don’t need to find the parking space at the overcrowded at that time of the year city of Witches.

Welcome to the tour and learn about justice and prosecution, religious believes and human factor, pirates and witches, early believes and today’s trends. Curious to learn, what’s Jewish about this Tour? A lot. Trust me. We’ll talk about that on our way there and back.

Everyone welcome and everyone included. We focus on families with Pre and Teens, and we’re concerned that children under 6 might be frightened here and there, but it’s all upon your own discretion. Some museum, may, however, restrict your access with a child of under 6 y.o. You know your child better than anyone. Active Grandparents welcome too! We will be walking about 40 min on this tour (20 min in one location, 20 min in another), but everything else is in the bus.

We have only 48 seats on the Bus, and I am sure, they will be filling in quickly. Teens 15 and up can come without parents, as long as a parent assumes full responsibility and makes sure, the Teen is aware that he needs to behave, obey, and listen to our coordinators. There will be 2 coordinators in the Bus: Irina Kovaleva and Sasha Grebenyuk.

The Bus will be picking up from 2 locations, and in both locations, you may leave your car for the day. Please arrive at least 20 min prior to the departure:

• 9:00 am – 1 Worcester Rd. Shoppers World Plaza, Framingham, MA 01701 (near the Barnes and Noble).

• 9:50 am – 210 Andover st. Northshore Mall, Peabody, MA 01960 (near the Barnes and Noble)

Please, keep Sasha’s phone handy: 508-951-3944. Sometimes, there maybe a delay on the road and the bus may be late to the second (Peabody) location. However, you should not be late. Especially when you’re at the tour. The bus won’t wait for you. If we do not see you on time, and don’t hear from you, we assume, you will come to the next bus stop or return home on your own.

Please, make sure, you indicate which location you’re boarding the bus. On the way back, there will be a stop at the same location in Peabody to drop you off around 5:10 pm, and in Framingham – around 6pm or 15-20 min later.

Important! The Bus is not equipped with the bathroom. Keep this in mind and do not miss a chance to visit one before you board the bus.

Sponsored by our generous Supporters, such as CJP North Shore and CJP Metrowest Grants, Our journey includes the bus, all admissions and tours, but doesn’t include lunch. You’ll have plenty of time and various possibilities for eating and shopping. Still I recommend you to take with you some snacks.

The tour includes visiting the Pirate Museum, Salem Witch Museum, The House of 7 Gables, and the Winter Island Park with beautiful Light House. The complete schedule will be sent to those who purchased the trip a week prior the departure.
