🎨 MLK Day Teen Art Serving Day at Jookender

Join us this Martin Luther King Jr. Day for a meaningful Teen Artist Serving Day at Jookender—where creativity, identity, and service come together.

Are you an artist at heart?
Have you taken art classes—or simply love expressing yourself visually?
Are you familiar with Jewish symbols, or curious enough to explore and research them before you come?
Are you proud of who you are and how you identify yourself?
Do you want to help repair the world—or at least help repair Jookender?

If you answered yes (or even maybe), we need you!

Teen artists will help refresh our space by cleaning walls and creating beautiful, meaningful, and “somewhat Jewish” murals using acrylic paints provided by Jookender.
✨ No matter your skill level, we’ll help you find the right spot and the right theme—this is about creativity, intention, and impact.

Jookender Waiver – MLK Serving Day

I, on behalf of my family, voluntarily sign this waiver and assumption of risk in favor of the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc in consideration for the opportunity to use the owner’s facilities, the facilities rented by or given to Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, or event set up for the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, that will take place January 19.

I understand that there are certain risks and dangers associated with the activities and use of the facilities and that these risks have been fully explained to me. I fully understand the danger involved. I fully assume the risks involved as acceptable to our family members and other paticipants I personally register, and agree to use my best judgment in undertaking these activities and follow all safety instructions.

I waive and release Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc. from any claim for personal injury, property damage, or death that may arise from use of the facilities or from participation in the activities of Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc.

I am a competent adult and I assume these risks of my own free will.
