Annual Lag B'Omer Jookender Gathering at Avoda
That the schedule is not "A MUST" and you decide to participate or not. Also, there will be C'Mores and Sticks for Marshmallow ready, so when you make a campfire, it'll be nearby. Just make sure, your children are attended, especially if they are close to the firepit.
• 12-2 pm - arrival, food preparation (if you bring meat, coal and portable grill), common table, lunch Potluck together. Mingle and have fun
Also, upon arrival, find Sasha and get your gift, if you have registered in advance)
• 2 pm - 3 pm - Summer Camp for Boys Tour by Ronni (meet near the main office)
• 3:30 pm - 5 pm - Planting a Garden with Ronni (meet near the main office)
• 5 pm - 6 pm - Arts & Crafts w/Sasha at the Arts & Crafts (Yellow building near the picnic area).
• 6 pm - 7 pm - Family Bingo w/Sasha - Dining Hall
• 7 pm - Adjourn!
Parking at the parking on your right, BEFORE the Main Entrance and Camp Avoda Sign. If you have a handicap sticker or are part of the Jookender Crew, you may proceed and park directly inside the camp at any free/open space.
- If you bring your own rod and bait, you can fish from the grounds of the camp (no license required and the fish are great!)
- If you play tennis, bring your rocket - there will be tennis courts ready for you. Bring some grass games for kids. Bring folding chairs for the campfire.
- If you play a musical instrument, bring it too! Especially, in favor are the guitars and drums :)
- A Theater rehearsal will take place sometime during this event, at the Lounge (the building overlooking the campfire). They are preparing for a play at the Family Camp in June. You're welcome to participate, especially if you plan to attend that family camp.
Registration is not required, but if you register your family in advance (while the form is open), you will receive a gift from Sasha upon arrival!
