Cooking Classes and STEM Arts & Crafts for kids

Welcome to Jookender Wednesday!

We're excited to introduce our revamped Jookender Wednesday program, where children can immerse themselves in both Arts, Crafts & STEM, and Culinary classes, all in one seamless evening of fun and learning!

How It Works:

  • Small, Focused Groups: Each class is limited to a maximum of 8 children, ensuring personalized attention and a better learning experience.
  • Dedicated Spaces: We will utilize two distinct areas – one for the Culinary class and another for the DIY Arts, Crafts, and STEM activities. This arrangement allows one class to start immediately after the other finishes.
  • Kid-Friendly Recipes: We will select recipes that children can prepare within one hour, avoiding the rushed feeling from last year’s sessions.
  • Convenient Schedule: Classes will begin at 5 PM, giving children ample time to return from school, have lunch at home, and arrive ready to focus without hunger distractions. With this later start, we anticipate better punctuality and more productive class time.
  • Optimized Class Duration: Although the total class time will be reduced by half an hour, the focused schedule ensures we maximize learning and fun without feeling rushed. Two hours are plenty for both activities combined.

Enrollment Options:

You can enroll your child in both classes or choose just one. We offer flexible registration for the entire year or for half the year, with significant savings for full-year enrollments. Please note that single-lesson sign-ups will not be available next year.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment. Our program will be tailored with awareness of children's food allergies, ensuring all participants can join safely.

Jookender Waiver – Cooking Classes and STEM Arts & Crafts for kids

I, on behalf of my family (and all participants I include into my reservation), voluntarily sign this waiver and assumption of risk in favor of the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc in consideration for the opportunity to use the owner’s facilities, the facilities rented by or given to Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, or event set up for the Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc, that will take place Wednesdays 2024-2025.

I understand that there are certain risks and dangers associated with the activities and use of the facilities and that these risks have been fully explained to me. I fully understand the danger involved. I fully assume the risks involved as acceptable to our family members and other paticipants I personally register, and agree to use my best judgment in undertaking these activities and follow all safety instructions.

I waive and release Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc. from any claim for personal injury, property damage, or death that may arise from use of the facilities or from participation in the activities of Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc.

In regards to COVID-19, I will comply with https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html

I am a competent adult and I assume these risks of my own free will.
