Sunday, November 1, 2026 | Club Chaverim Day Trip
Who would have thought that one small corner of Essex County could offer so many different experiences in a single day?
Join Club Chaverim for a delightful autumn adventure to Ipswich, one of Massachusetts' oldest coastal towns, where grand estates, centuries-old architecture, local food traditions, and wildlife all come together.
We'll visit the magnificent Castle Hill on the Crane Estate, admire its beautiful grounds and sweeping views, and discover Choate Bridge, the oldest documented two-span stone arch bridge in America, built in 1764.
Of course, no visit to Ipswich would be complete without tasting its famous fried clams! We'll stop for a traditional New England seafood lunch and find out why this little town has earned such a big reputation among seafood lovers.
And for a completely different experience, we'll visit Wolf Hollow, a local wolf sanctuary, where we'll learn about these fascinating animals and observe real wolves in a protected setting.
This isn't your typical historical tour. Think of it as a collection of little discoveries - a touch of history, a bit of architecture, beautiful scenery, local flavors, wildlife, and plenty of good company.
Four very different experiences, one charming New England town, and a day full of surprises!
