Mayan repatriated to Israel from Crimea when she was a teenager. She lived there for 15 years prior to moving to the Boston Area in 2012.
Mayan earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Open University in Israel and a Master in Education from Brandeis University.
Mayan is teaching Modern Hebrew at Jewish Day School in the Boston Area. She has been teaching there for 5 years. . Children will gain vocabulary while learning how to read in Hebrew. The classes will run in English, but the teacher speaks Russian, as well.
